Wrap of 2014 Worlds, recharging batteries (literally and figuratively).

Busiest year ever for Kaffeinated Films.

The 2014  cycling season actually started in 2013.

October began with a  video/photo shoot for Zipp Wheels on the famed cobblestones of Paris-Roubaix. The extremely short day (less than two hours on the bikes) resulted in photo for a full-page ad appearing in numerous print/digital publications and web spaces.  The video shot that day, post-produced with another editor, is featured on Zipps YouTube channel.

December 2013 was spent in the south of Spain and the Canary Islands, with motion-photography for the "It's My Tour" web series produced for Specialized Bicycles. Chasing three professional teams at their winter training venues. I shot five episodes of this series, which were post-produced in California, as total package delivery would have been impossible for even the most caffeinated dp-producer-editor. The series wrapped with daily updates from inside the TdF and culminated with a short Nibali recap of his year on Specialized and his winning the Tour.

Covered the classics. Interviewing Paris-Roubaix winner Niki Terpstra both the day before, and the day after his victory.

Three wind blown days in Fuerta Ventura in the Canary Islands for Easton Cycling, shooting video with professional triathletes the Raelert Brothers.

The three week long Vuelta España and 2014 World Road Championships culminated my season. Producing short subjects/updates with Specialized riders and of course Alberto Contador the overall Vuelta winner. The Worlds was especially satisfying as I am a big fan of the men's elite champion Michal Kwiatkovski, whom I also followed during his one-week Volta Algarve victory in Portugal, in the Spring.

Professionally, a tremendously rewarding season. Personally, got the best ever souvenir in a photo that a colleague snapped when I was out on the Worlds course with the soon-to-be World Champion, Kwiatkowski.

A lot left out in this recap, but you get the idea... Whatta' year!

Off to shoot cyclocross,
